This coffee machine is based on the Italian Quickmill 3000A. As almost all of it’s functional parts are made of cast iron I decided to remove the original outer shell which is mostly plastic and looks very ordinary.
This required to build a new control panel which I moved to the lower left allowing for a place to heat up cups at the top right.
The three status LEDs are merged into a single RGB LED, whereas the switches and potentiometers remained its functionality.
I added a manometer as well as a hand-welded storage for the coffee grounds.
The final version also features a direct connection to the water supply which really reliefs the usage.
The whole machine is hanging from a stainless steel construction. Cleaning is therefore very easy as most of the grime is dropping directly on the kitchen table.
